Solar-Powered Prose

For many years I’ve been working on a novel, one which features cats and a mystery in the green hills of Galicia, Spain. In late 2025, I moved to an off-grid cabin on Canada’s northwest coast. Many thanks to the sun (and a clever woman named Meredith who has devised a power system to fuel the bare basics) for making it possible to write solar-powered poetry and prose in the middle of nowhere.

Summer in the Yukon

I recently had the honour of being one of the 2025/26 Berton House writers-in-residence. From July to September I lived in Dawson City, Yukon and experienced life in The North. Thank you so much to The Writers’ Trust of Canada for this amazing opportunity.
